About me
Lisa is an accredited Animal Training Instructor (ATI) with the Animal Behaviour and Training Council (ABTC-ATI) having completed the Professional Association of Canine Trainers'
Level 4 canine instructors course.

She is currently studying a PACT Level 5 qualification to become an ABTC Animal Behaviour Technician (ABT).
She also has an Institute of Modern Dog Trainers' (IMDT) Level 3 in Professional Daycare and Boarding.
She is a student member of FABC - Fellowship of Animal Behaviour Clinicians.
The ethos of these organisations is kind, reward-based and scientifically-backed approaches to dog interactions.

Lisa said: "Long-lasting behaviour change in dogs, like with humans, takes time and patience and works best when there is choice, consistency and commitment to making the change. There are some quick fixes when our dogs feel comfortable, supported and ready to learn, but with other issues it can take some time.
"I am passionate about helping people better understand their dogs so our furry family members can live alongside us in harmony."

Inclusion and sustainability
I choose to study with PACT - a dog training education provider - which is a B Corp organisation with a focus on sustainability.
We drive an electric van.
The poop bags we use are biodegradable.
We rarely mow the lawn so the bees have somewhere to go.
Without wanting to be glib we recognise there is always more to be done but we try to do our bit.

We aim to be inclusive, recognising mobility and learning differences. Our daughter is autistic with a demand avoidant profile and we have a good knowledge of neurodiversity. We have worked with people with physical and mobility limitations, and collaborated with them on novel ways of adapting dog handling and training accordingly.

As a former childminder, Lisa enjoys getting the younger family members involved with dog training
